The question many mothers ask themselves is what will become of me when the kids are grown and move out of the house? I was faced with that too quickly after my third child went away to school.

Once I had time for “me” I decided to take metal smith classes and discovered my passion. I live on Cape Cod and am fortunate enough to have a studio in my home that I call my “happy place”.

I have been intrigued by jewelry for as long as I can remember. I handcraft my one-of-a-kind designs in copper, brass and sterling silver.

I enjoy, what is called, fold forming. What I like most about this technique is that I start out with a flat piece of metal and begin to texture and shape it. Once completed, I oxidize the metal followed by a polish to highlight the texture. I love the uniqueness of each finished piece.
